In view of today’s competitive corporate and global climate, UPM establishes its investment arm, Pusat Pembangunan Perniagaan a.k.a University Business Centre (UBC). On 15th July 1996, UBC was formally established to facilitate the transfer of technology and expertise from the university to the market and relevant industries through research and development. Since then, UBC has propelled and generated various consultative, business and commercialization activities based on the strengths and capacity of UPM as an academic institution par excellence. UBC has committed to fully utilize research and technological expertise as well as to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and form smart partnerships with industries. This Reseach University recognisition will become a momentum to UBC to continue our tremendous services in business development especially in researchs and consultancy services. Our mission is to be a respectable consultant in various scope and area in the South-East Asia region. Our main objective is to ensure our services in research and consultancy work conducted accordingly and meet our clients’ expectation. We spearheads UPM’s efforts in introducing our new high technology and dynamic consultancy services. We assist the academic body in introducing and promoting various technologies, capabilities and expertise to Malaysia’s industrial sector.

We help to generate income for the university while at the same time provides businesses, entrepreneurs, education and economic development officers with necessary resources to further their businesses, economic efforts and goals.
