1. Function of Consultancy Unit? |
|

The Consultancy Unit, University Business Centre (UBC) will function as the only regulatory body and coordinator of all UPM Consultants and Consultancy work. Only University Business Centre is allowed to register as UPM Consultancy Specialist, either with the government or any other relevant agencies. |

2. How the Consultant appointment make? |
|

| |
The appointment of Chief Consultant and members of the Consultancy Team will be made by UBC by taking into account the suitability and success record of the Consultancy Work of the officer concerned as well as approval by the Dean/Director/Head of Department respectively. |

1. What is MEALPLAN card? |
|
| |
| |
Is a prepaid smartcard that uses Mifare contactless technology. Mifare is the international de facto standard for contactless smartcard. |
|

Information contain in this card can be read and written via magnetic induction using specified radio frequency and smartcard software. |
|
| |
Each time a user uses the MEALPLAN card, the electronic card reader will deduct the exact fare from the value stored inside the card. User can top-up or reload the card with amount as minima as RM 20.00 to continue using it. |

2. Where can I get a MEALPLAN card? |
|
| |
| |
MEALPLAN card will be given when register as a student at UPM. Student will be using MEALPLAN card for 1 year (2 semesters) |

3. How can I reload my MEALPLAN card? |
|
| |
| |
For the first semester the value RM 407.50 will be automatically reloaded in the card and for the second semester, student needs to present the card at MEALPLAN Customer Service Counters to automatic reload RM425.00. Student also will be allowed to reload cash (min: RM20, max: RM400). Pay the amount and the Customer Service Officer will do the reloading process. Once completed, student can be using the card on the spot. |

4. How to use the MEALPLAN card? Do you swipe? Insert? |
|
| |
| |
Just “touch” the card on the card reader. You may use either side of the card. The system will emit a “beep” sound to indicate that the transaction is successful. |

5. What are the benefits of MEALPLAN card? |

- No need to wait for a queue to buy food.
- No need to wait for attendant to give you the small change.

6. Can I Refund when I’m not using the MEALPLAN Card anymore? |

Refund are not allowed, we are suggesting that you finished the amount when you are still studying at UPM. But if you still can not finished the amount after you graduate from the university, you may write a letter to the UBC and giving the MEALPLAN card for refund. |

7. Can I get exemption for using the MEALPLAN card? |
|
| |
| |
Yes you may, but the exemption come from HEP. You must get a letter from them for the exemption. |

8. What are the conditions for the exemption? |
|
| |
| |
Exemptions are for student that having a letter from a doctor that confirmed that they cannot eat food at the canteen, married and for MSN student. |
