.:  Mealplan Unit

     MEALPLAN programmed has been established on the year 2002. It’s a understanding agreement between UPM and Desasiswa Catering Services Sdn Bhd (DCSSB). The execution of this programmed are peculiar for the first year student at the UPM campus.

     To accomplish this programmed, UPM will be given an advance electronic cash amount RM 425.00 into the card for the first semester student. From that amount RM 17.50 will be deducted for the card charge and the balance RM407.50 will be using by the student to buy food at the cafeteria. For second semester student will be added RM 425.00 for the last top-up using the MEALPLAN Card.

     This programmed are compulsory for the first year student (1st semester and 2nd semester). Cash reload and make an advance money from the Bendahari to reload the MEALPLAN card also been allowed.

     MEALPLAN card is an electronic purse that can be used at all café and outlet at the UPM Campus. MEALPLAN card uses contactless smartcard technology. The card looks similar as a Touch n Go card and a Credit Card.

     User can continue using the card as long as it is pre-loaded with electronic cash. Student can reload the card at MEALPLAN service counter, Bendahari 3, UPM. Reload denomination is ranging as minima RM 20.00 up to maxima RM 400.00.

     MEALPLAN card helping student manage their daily expenses. Apart of that it is also very convenient because user are no longer need to bring money at the cafeteria or have to long queue at the cash lane to pay cost of food at the cafeteria.
